Our Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from the 2022 vintage is a special wine for us. Designated for our Reserve Circle members, it is a tribute to the early winegrowing days of our region. Cabernet was one of the first varieties planted in the Santa Clara Valley, well before the Civil War. At Sarah's, we take pride in helping to recall and reestablish the Valley's reputation for growing great Cabernet Sauvignon.
This 2022 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is big, bold, and full-bodied. It’s wonderful in the glass right now; however, a few years of patient cellaring will enhance its character even further. This wine is very aromatic, full of ripe, sweet blueberry and blackberry. On the palate, notes of dried fig, tobacco, and plum come forward as well. Time in the glass offers up red cherry and baking spice. We recommend pairing the ’22 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon with beef bourguignon and a loaf of crusty, freshly baked bread.
